NYC-based Diane Louvel is back with her latest single, Above and Beyond

NYC-based Diane Louvel is back with her latest single, Above and Beyond. The title track off of her upcoming record, Louvel’s latest deep dives on the mounting societal pressures and monotony of a capitalist society. A modern story with a vintage flair, the juxtaposition of which results in a witty examination of corporate jargon and the dismantling of such phrases. 

Louvel’s voice is reminiscent of Gillian Welch, with sprinkles of Neko Case. Musically she glides through the decades of classic folk and country stylings.  All-in-all this is a very solid outing. We are excited to hear what she's done on the rest of the record.
