Global Pierce Conference- Yet Another Home Run by The Pierce Kingans

The Pierce Kingans continue their prolific run of banging out four song EP’s with Global Pierce Conference. Fitted with a more produced and detailed sound the album is reminiscent of one of my all time faves A Pierce Of Cake.  Pierce is once again joined by longtime collaborators Ian Brown on drums and vocals and Zac Martin on keys and vocals and it’s clear that they’ve put in the hours together, the songs have a certain flow that only comes with chemistry amongst musicians. Yung Heazy and Yaris Paris also have brief yet distinctly important cameos that really round out the sound of the EP as a whole.

Global Pierce Conference is littered with groovy bass lines, tight drum beats, intriguing guitar riffs and dreamy keys that find themselves right where they’re supposed to be. It wouldn’t be a Kingans EP if it didn’t have beautiful vocal harmonies throughout the piece and this one is no exception. With the advantage of every member having a strong voice with a wide range the guys take a piece out of Queen’s book with impressive harmonies on nearly every song they ever put out.

The call and return of the lyrics between Yaris Paris and Pierce in This Is What I Love To Do is a beautiful misty verbed out mood that pairs nicely with a hot summer night's drive with nowhere to go. Joined with a poppy chorus and a built up outro in which the drums go off without ever taking over the mix, the track definitely earns the closing spot in this chapter of the Pierce Kingans novel.

This one’s been out for a little while now, yes, I’m a little late on the draw but better late than never and the same goes for you, if you haven’t yet I highly recommend throwing on this sweet little four song adventure and see where it takes you.
