Video Premiere: The Lone Palms- Sunday Morning

Coming to you this Sunday morning is the new live video from The Lone Palms, ‘Sunday Morning’. The track is a cover of Zamrock legends, Amanaz’ 1975 song of the same name. Zamrock is a sub-genre of rock n roll that emerged in *surprise* Zambia in the 60s/70s. Fusing elements of psychedelic, funk and traditional Zambian music, this unique genre is worth a deep dive for those of you that are unfamiliar.

This new take pays the track the homage it deserves while providing a fresh approach. Transcripts of the original lyrics are virtually non-existent, the band listened to the track a few times over and pieces together what they could, filling in the rest.

Recorded at The Ranch by Matt Burnham (Arrowhead Productions.) and filmed by Alexi Johnson (Pulp Publicity/604 records), this video shows the band are as tight as ever and are still having a hell of a time.
