The Victoria-based Downtown Mischief never ceases to invoke joy across the island. The ever-expanding and the evolving group are like no other. Their music is an explosion of funk, jazz and hip hop. They emulate the summer afternoon quality of rising star Still Woozy and the sexy funk quality of icon D’Angelo. It is clear the group doesn’t take themselves too seriously yet take music quite seriously, an excellent combo that is palpable in their work.
